IDN/Punycode変換ツールは、国際化ドメイン名を人が読みやすい Unicode 表記と、DNS や一部のシステム設定で利用される ASCII の punycode 表記とのあいだで相互変換できるブラウザ完結型ユーティリティです。日本語、スペイン語、ドイツ語など ASCII 以外の文字を含むドメインは、そのままでは DNS レベルで扱えないため、内部的には xn-- で始まる punycode へ変換されます。
たとえば運用担当者がレジストラ設定や CDN、証明書、リダイレクト設定を確認するとき、Unicode と punycode の対応関係がすぐに分からず、正しいホスト名を判断しづらいことがあります。このツールでは、例え.テスト のような読めるドメインを xn-- 形式へ変換したり、逆に punycode を Unicode 表記へ戻したりできます。ドメインラベル単位で変換するため、IDN を含むホスト名の確認、設定値の比較、URL 周辺のデバッグ、技術サポート時の確認作業に向いています。
便利な機能として、完全な URL（https://example.com/path など）をそのまま入力できます。ドメイン部分だけが変換され、パスやクエリ文字列は自動的に保持されます。また、複数のドメイン・ホスト名を改行で区切って入力すれば、一度に一括変換することも可能です。これにより、大量のドメイン設定確認やレジストラ操作が効率化されます。処理はすべてブラウザ内で行われるため、確認中のホスト名や調査メモを外部サーバーへ送信せずに扱えます。
The Punycode Converter is a browser-based utility for converting internationalized domain names between readable Unicode labels and their ASCII punycode representation. Domains that include non-ASCII characters such as Japanese, German umlauts, or accented Latin letters cannot be stored directly at the DNS wire level, so they are encoded into labels that begin with xn--. In practice, administrators, developers, and support teams often need to move between the human-readable form and the encoded form when checking registrar settings, CDN rules, redirect definitions, certificates, reverse proxies, or debugging URL behavior.
This tool lets you paste a Unicode host name and turn it into its punycode equivalent, or decode an xn-- label back into readable text for inspection. Because the conversion is handled label by label, it is useful for host names that mix ASCII and internationalized segments. You can also enter complete URLs such as https://example.com/path directly; the tool automatically extracts the domain portion, converts it, and rebuilds the URL with paths and query strings preserved.
For bulk operations, simply paste multiple domain names or host names with line breaks. - 日本語やアクセント付き文字を含むドメインを ASCII 化したい場合は Unicode→Punycode を選びます。
- xn-- で始まる IDN を読める形へ戻したい場合は Punycode→Unicode を選びます。
- ドメイン名、ホスト名、または完全な URL（例：https://example.jp/path）を入力できます。URL の場合は自動的にドメイン部分だけを変換します。
- 複数行入力にも対応しており、改行で区切った複数のドメインを一度に変換できます。
- 変換結果をコピーして DNS 設定、証明書設定、リダイレクト設定、調査メモへ貼り付けます。
- Choose Unicode → Punycode when you want to encode a readable internationalized domain.
- Choose Punycode → Unicode when you want to decode an xn-- label back into readable text.
- Enter a domain name, host name, or complete URL such as https://example.jp/path. For URLs, the tool automatically converts only the domain portion.
