Privacy Policy
1. Our Commitment
FreeTool.jp ("this site") considers user privacy protection its top priority.
All tools provided on this site are built using "Client-Side Only" technology.
All processing is completed entirely within your browser (on your PC or smartphone).
2. Information We Handle
This site processes data only within your browser, to the extent necessary for tool functionality.
- Uploaded files: Temporarily loaded into browser memory for processing (e.g., image editing, PDF operations). They are never saved or transmitted. Closing the page immediately discards them.
- LocalStorage: Only site settings you choose, such as language and favorites, are stored in your browser. The first-party daily totals do not use cookies or LocalStorage. Google Analytics uses analytics cookies.
3. Analytics and Daily Usage Totals
This site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) together with a same-site, first-party counter to improve the service. The first-party counter retains public-site usage only as daily totals and does not retain individual activity histories.
- Information explicitly sent to GA4: Our implementation sends page URLs without query strings or fragments, normalized referrers, fixed events such as page views, tool starts, successes, failures and downloads, and asset, BGM and game usage. Fixed-format parameters may include tool IDs, categories, processing times, output formats, error categories, search-term length and result counts, and game IDs, scores and play durations. We do not include tool input, actual search terms, uploaded files, file names, generated content, or error text in these explicit events.
- GA4 automatic measurement: Depending on the data-stream settings, standard events such as scrolling and technical information such as page title, language, screen resolution, device and browser information may be sent automatically. Enhanced measurement for site search, form interactions, outbound clicks, videos, and file downloads is disabled.
- Recipient and Google’s processing: GA4 data is sent to Google LLC. Google may process the IP address during transmission and handle analytics cookies, client IDs, session information, and approximate location. Google signals and ad-personalization signals are disabled in this site’s GA4 configuration. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
- GA4 retention: As confirmed on July 26, 2026, the property retains event data for 2 months and user data for 14 months, and resets user-data retention on new activity. Analytics cookies last for up to 2 years as shown in the table below.
- Information stored by the first-party counter: It stores only normalized page paths and daily counts for fixed event IDs such as page views, tool starts, successes, failures and downloads, and asset, BGM and game usage, outside the public web root.
- Information not stored by the first-party counter: It does not store cookies, LocalStorage, visitor or device IDs, session IDs, IP addresses, user-agent strings, referrers, search terms, tool input, uploaded files, file names, generated content, error text, individual timestamps, exact processing times, or game scores.
- First-party retention: Daily aggregate files are retained for 400 days and deleted after that period.
- Purpose: The totals help us identify frequently used pages and features, successful or failed operations, and downloads so we can prioritize improvements.
- Limits of the first-party counter: Because it does not identify visitors or sessions, it cannot by itself provide unique visitor counts, new-versus-returning visitor data, session counts, user-level journeys, or retention rates.
- Advertising and operational logs: Google AdSense may send information to Google and use cookies for ad delivery. The hosting provider may handle IP addresses, user-agent strings, requested paths, and timestamps for security or troubleshooting. These systems are separate from GA4 and the first-party daily counter.
- How to opt out: Browser cookie restrictions can limit storage of analytics cookies. To block Google Analytics measurement requests, use content-blocking features or the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
