Base32 Encode / Decode

Encode and decode Base32 in real-time

About Base32 Encode / Decode

Base32 Encode / Decode is a tool for converting text data to Base32 format or restoring Base32-encoded strings back to their original text. Base32 is an encoding scheme standardized in RFC 4648 that represents binary data as safe ASCII strings.

Standard Base32 uses 32 characters consisting of uppercase letters A-Z and digits 2-7, with = used for padding. The Base32Hex (Extended Hex) variant uses 0-9 and A-V, preserving sort order — useful in DNS and file systems where case sensitivity is not guaranteed. Simply type or paste text into the input area and the conversion result appears in real-time. Switch between encode and decode modes with one click.

Supports UTF-8 text including Japanese characters. All processing runs entirely in the browser with no data sent to any external server.

How to use Base32 Encode / Decode

  1. Enter the text or Base32 string you want to convert in the upper input area.
  2. Switch between Encode and Decode modes using the toggle buttons. You can also select Standard Base32 or Base32Hex variant.
  3. The conversion result appears in real-time in the output area below. Click the Copy button to copy the result to your clipboard.

Benefits of Base32 Encode / Decode

  • Real-time conversion — results appear instantly as you type
  • Two variants — switch between Standard Base32 and Base32Hex (Extended Hex)
  • Bidirectional — toggle between encode and decode with one click
  • UTF-8 support — correctly handles multibyte characters including Japanese
  • Fully browser-based — no data is sent to any server, keeping your data safe
