AI Image Edge Smoother

AI-generated character illustrations can contain small jagged or rough-looking artifacts around hair, clothing, accessories, silhouettes, and boundaries between color regions. This tool is a browser-based image editor for making those edges less distracting in thumbnails, streaming assets, social posts, presentation graphics, and similar uses. It does not determine whether an image was generated by AI, and it does not invent missing details. It adjusts the pixels already present in the imported image.

Edge smoothing reduces rough transitions around character outlines and color boundaries. Color-plane cleanup uses posterization to group nearby tones into fewer, more consistent regions, which can help illustrations look more cohesive. Because strong settings may remove intentional texture or small facial details, the controls are intended to be adjusted while viewing the same area before and after processing. A draggable comparison bar displays the original and processed image together for direct inspection.

The tool is designed especially for character artwork on transparent or white backgrounds. It accepts PNG, JPEG, and WebP images and saves the processed result as PNG, allowing transparency to be retained when the source contains it. All processing takes place locally in the browser, and the image is not uploaded to a server.
