Low-Quality Image Maker deliberately adds a crunchy, degraded look to photos. It combines reduced resolution, JPEG compression artifacts, color displacement and grain to imitate repeatedly reposted images or old camera-phone photos.

Choose how far to degrade it

Pick A Little Worn, Reposted Again, Old Phone Camera or Maximum Crunch, then adjust strength from 0 to 100. Zero adds no degradation. An editable cat sample is loaded at the start; replace it with your own photo at any time.

Compare before and after

Toggle Show Original to compare the edited image with its source. Downloads always contain the edited result, and the original file is never overwritten.

Keep the classic pixelation effect

Open the detail controls and choose Pixelation for a whole-image mosaic with blocks from 2 to 100 pixels. Pixelation preserves transparency. Degradation uses JPEG processing and turns transparent areas white.

Images are reduced to a maximum long edge of 2,048 pixels and can be saved as PNG, JPG or WebP. Editing runs locally in the browser on desktop or mobile.
