SVG Optimizer

SVG Optimizer is a browser-based cleanup tool for designers, front-end developers, marketers, and small business owners who regularly handle exported SVG assets. Many SVG files created by design tools such as Figma, Illustrator, or online icon generators contain extra comments, metadata blocks, XML declarations, repeated whitespace, and formatting noise that are not necessary for actual web display. Those extra characters can make a file heavier than needed, reduce readability when the SVG is embedded inline in HTML, and create noisy Git diffs during design iteration.

This tool lets you paste raw SVG markup or drop an .svg file directly into the page, then selectively remove comments, metadata, XML declarations, and unnecessary whitespace while immediately checking the optimized output. Because the tool also shows the original size, optimized size, and reduction percentage, it is easy to evaluate whether an exported logo, icon, illustration, or decorative graphic is ready for production use.

Everything runs locally in the browser, so your source SVG never has to be uploaded to a third-party server. That makes it useful not only for public web assets, but also for internal brand files, pre-release design work, and client materials that should stay private. Real-time statistics display exactly how many comments and metadata elements were removed, making the optimization process completely transparent.
