PDF Compressor

This tool tries to reduce PDF size by saving its internal structure more efficiently. Standard mode uses compressed object streams; comparison mode also tries an alternative serialization and selects the smaller result. If neither improves on the input, the original file is retained.

Images are not recompressed or resized. Already optimized PDFs or image-heavy scans may show little or no reduction. No target size or fixed compression ratio is guaranteed. Check the actual saved size.

Some document information, such as title and author, is cleared during optimization. This is not a tool for removing all personal information. Files are processed locally in your browser.
