The 'PDF Interleave Pages' tool is a specialized utility designed to merge two PDF files by interleaving their pages into a single, correctly ordered document.
Most Common Use Case — Duplex Scanning with ADF
When scanning double-sided documents with an ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) scanner, most devices can only scan one side at a time. The typical workflow is: first, scan all the front sides (odd pages) to create one PDF, then flip the stack and scan all the back sides (even pages) to create a second PDF. The result is two separate files that need to be combined in the correct alternating order. This tool automatically interleaves PDF A (front sides) and PDF B (back sides) in the order A1, B1, A2, B2, A3, B3, and so on, instantly reconstructing the original document's correct page sequence as a single complete PDF file.
Automatic Reverse Order Fix
A common scanning workflow issue occurs when you flip a stack of pages to scan the back sides — the pages often end up in reverse order (the last page scans first). How to use PDF Interleave Pages

- Drag and drop or click to select the back-side (even pages) PDF file into the 'PDF B (Back)' area. The page count will also be displayed.
- After both files are selected, the 'Result Preview' displays the expected page count of the final PDF. Verify that the page count is correct.
- If the back-side pages were scanned in reverse order, enable the 'Reverse second PDF' toggle.
- Click the 'Interleave' button and download the generated PDF file.
