Child Height Predictor

This child height prediction tool estimates a child's adult height based on parental height data. Approximately 80% of height is determined by genetic factors, making parental height a strong predictor. This tool uses two calculation methods: (1) The standard Mid-Parental Height method, widely used internationally — for boys: (father's height + mother's height + 13) ÷ 2; for girls: (father's height + mother's height − 13) ÷ 2. (2) A genetic prediction formula based on Japanese research data — for boys: (father's height + mother's height) × 0.54 + 22.7 cm; for girls: (father's height + mother's height) × 0.54 + 3.3 cm. Both are estimates only. Actual height may vary due to environmental factors such as nutrition, exercise, sleep, and hormones. Results may differ by approximately ±9 cm.
