The Tile Calculator helps you quickly determine how many tiles and cases to order for floor or wall tiling projects, whether you're doing a DIY renovation or planning a professional installation. Enter the room width and depth in meters, choose a tile size from the presets or enter a custom size, and the tool instantly calculates the exact quantity needed — factoring in both grout width and a waste overage percentage.

Select a layout pattern — grid, brick, 45° diagonal, or herringbone — and industry-standard overage recommendations are automatically applied. Grid layout uses 10% overage, diagonal adds 15%, and herringbone adds 20%. The tool always applies whichever is larger: your manual input or the pattern-based recommendation. This ensures adequate allowance for cuts, breakage, and waste.

Built-in presets cover the most common tile sizes (100×100mm up to 600×600mm, plus rectangular options like 300×600mm and 200×400mm). Enter the number of tiles per box or case, and you'll immediately see how many cases to buy and how many spare tiles you'll have left over.

Optionally enter the tile price per m² to see an estimated material cost. The total purchase area in m² is also displayed alongside the cost breakdown, making it straightforward to plan budgets and place accurate orders with suppliers.
