About Rokuyo Calendar

The Rokuyo Calendar automatically displays the six-day cycle (Taian, Shakko, Sensho, Tomobiki, Senbu, Butsumetsu) and lunar calendar dates for any selected month. Rokuyo is determined by the sum of the lunar month and day modulo 6, based on the traditional Japanese lunisolar calendar.

In Japan, Rokuyo is commonly consulted when scheduling important life events such as weddings, funerals, moving days, business openings, and contract signings. 'Taian' is considered the most auspicious day for celebrations, while 'Butsumetsu' is regarded as unlucky. Days like 'Sensho' (lucky in AM, unlucky in PM) and 'Tomobiki' (unlucky at noon, lucky at night) require time-based decision-making.

This tool converts Gregorian dates to lunar calendar dates using new moon data, accurately calculating Rokuyo for years 2000 through 2035. The filtering feature allows you to highlight only your chosen Rokuyo type across the calendar, making it easy to identify auspicious dates for weddings, important contracts, or business launches.
